I grabbed some Wok of China for dinner shrimp fried rice and general Tso chicken that came with two egg rolls and I added cheese puffs I don't eat a whole lot at one time so I put a little bit on a plate in the middle of eating the rice I looked down and noticed the veins were still in the shrimp and the shrimp were not cooked very well I was disgusted I called the restaurant to try and discuss this with them and the lady who answers the phone was extremely rude her response was it's okay they're edible eventually we got to the conclusion that the only way I would get any type of money back was if I brought all the food up there well how can I bring all the food up there if I started off eating my cheese puffs four of them were gone out of the six I ate through some of the rice before I got to the shrimp she refused to give me her name so that I could tell them who told me that I could bring the food back so that was $20 plus a $5 tip down the drain very disappointed.
Don't listen to the bad reviews. The people that work here are so nice. The food is always cooked so well, tastes good and doesn't take long to fix. I watched them cook chicken noodle soup from scratch the other day. Wonderful place.
I can't rate the store or the service I did carry out they definitely are generous on the amount of food and the price is not that bad but the food is horrible and the meat is tough and just not right I will never order from them again I ordered the beef low mein pork egg and crab Rangoon. Since they didn't have the choice at the bottom I just put it here
$12. FOR A BOX OF CHICKEN LOMAIN AND A WONTON SOUP NO RICE OR DRINK .I ORDERED THIS BEFOR NOON. All for one person . Never again at this price . I was a customer for years , and I was one of my favorite places ...
Delicious! I know a lot of people are complaining about prices, with Covid and a small business like this, I'm okay with it and do be aware of the 4% credit charge. They have a sign but they don't mention it to you. However, food is ON POINT! Chicken was super crispy, lo mein was awesome. I was sad they don't give a fortune cookie. But the noodles here are MASSIVE! Food was great, prices are comparable to others. I was happy. The man at the register was friendly, food came out quickly, hot, and yummy. Def will be back to this one.
Extremely disappointed in Wok of China. We used to get food here occasionally but have preferred Dragon City on North Bend for years. Dragon City was closed today, so Wok of China it was. We ordered Garlic Broccoli, Vegetable Chow Mein with Tofu, two Egg Rolls, and Subgum Vegetable Soup. According to the menu currently on their website (as of November 2021), the total for this without tax (and adding $1 for the tofu) should have been $18.35. They charged us $27.30, and since they gave my husband no receipt, we have no idea why.
Beware credit card users: there is a sign at the cash register saying they charge 4% if you use a credit card. Since we get 5% cash back on food purchases, this fee negates most of the benefits. (I should note that this fee would add 73 cents to our total, so there are still dollars unaccounted for.) Whether or not you use cash back credit cards, this alone is worth going somewhere else. I should also note that this fee was not communicated to us over the phone before we took the time to drive there and pick our food up.
It is such a shame that they overcharged us in two different ways, because the garlic broccoli was phenomenal. However, considering the untrustworthy nature of this last transaction, we will never again buy food at Wok of China. If you decide to risk it, please do yourself a favor and triple-check your order and demand a receipt: you might be overcharged.
Edit: We have since tried resolving the overcharge with Wok of China. My husband printed out their menu from their current website and took it down there to show them the discrepancies. They refused to give him a receipt (again), and told him that they know the menu on their website is incorrect (they blamed it on a third party). They also refused a refund of the discrepancy. They showed him a menu they claimed was correct, but it did not have most of the things we ordered on it save for the egg rolls, so we're not sure why they took our order from the old menu to begin with. We ended up filing our first-ever dispute with our credit card company over this and our issue was finally resolved. This whole experience was horrific. Please be careful with your money going here.
This is a small family run business that I've been going to since they opened over 20+ years ago great food and prices are very affordable and good portion sizes. They have indoor seating I only wish they had a table or two out front that we could enjoy on a nice sunny summer day. I highly recommend this westside favorite.
Such a special little gem in the plaza! I love this place and will travel from Delhi to get the food and service here. I order the General Tso chicken with white rice all the time. Great portions and delicious food!
